The gruelling challenge takes place over 4 days with around 80 miles or 7-8 hours a day spent in the saddle.
The 3 participants (John Hatt, Adrian Stephens & Charlie Clover) are novice cyclists at best so in addition to the actual challenge, many, many miles of training rides over several months are needed. An ambitious team fundraising target of £6,000 has been which will greatly help Action Medical Research continue the vital work they do. Every penny counts so no matter how big or small every sponsor helps.
Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. For 65 years we’ve helped pioneer ways to prevent disease and develop treatments benefiting millions of people. Our research has helped to beat polio in the UK, develop ultrasound, fight meningitis and prevent stillbirths. But we urgently need to develop more new treatments and cures for sick babies and children and we can’t do it without you. Join the fight for little lives. Lets hope to see the Pentalec Team make it to the finish line
This year there will be a very special guest rider, Olympian, former Tour de France stage winner, Yellow jersey holder and World Tour Director Sportive, Sean Yates. The team will ride on the same cobbled streets he once rode as a professional road cyclist, in a career spanning 15 years. An experience they'll never forget!
